Government & Other Clients

These are present or past government clients & others who continue to draw upon KLMayer's resources.

Washington State University, King County Extension: 4-H Diversity Initiative

When King County 4-H initiated a comprehensive effort to re-engage urban youth in 4-H, KLMayer created and facilitated a year-long project to increase diversity in both youth and adult participants. It resulted in a strategic framework to guide work plans for the next 3-5 years, with strategies for how to bridge the philosophical differences between the traditional rural membership and those of the urban centers, and how to attract and retain diverse participants. The planning process involved meeting monthly with an advisory group to guide the process and helping to facilitate new partnerships. Website

Port Townsend Public Library

In order to strengthen and stabilize fundraising for annual operations on the eve of a capital campaign, KLMayer helped create a fund development plan for this public library. The plan incorporates all of the library's support groups, including trustees, staff, Friends of the Library and the Library Foundation. This resulted in a case statement and a biannual fund development plan that will be refreshed yearly. In addition, KLMayer encouraged a focus on common goals and the revision of written promotional materials. Website
